I am planning a major remodel, do I need Design Review?

In most cases, any large development project (remodel or rebuild) will trigger Planning Commission Design Review. However, smaller projects may only require Planning Staff Review. To determine the type of review you will need, please review the City’s Planning & Building Process and contact the Planning & Building Department by email or call (415) 435-8902.

Small Home Projects – Exempt from Design Review (1-2 Days)
