The Tiburon Peninsula Traffic Alliance (TPTA)—the team behind the Yellow Bus Challenge—is gearing up for the 2025–26 school year, and there’s lots of good news for Belvedere families. Del Mar Middle School routes have been updated with later morning departures and earlier afternoon returns – giving students more time in the morning and a quicker trip home.
In addition, after 10 years of this successful program, the TPTA Board will vote (May 2) on adding a dedicated late-afternoon run for students participating in extracurricular programs across the Peninsula and a new St. Hilary School express bus to reduce traffic between Highway 101 and Rock Hill Road. These changes support TPTA’s core mission of reducing congestion on Tiburon Boulevard during peak hours. Stay tuned: Yellow Bus passes go on sale in late May and sell quickly.
