At the September City Council meeting, City Manager Robert Zadnik reported that Belvedere had begun exploring the possibility of annexing into the Tiburon Fire Protection District (TPFD). A joint working group, including representatives of the city, TPFD, and the Marin County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) was formed. To facilitate the process, the group has engaged Citygate Associates to conduct a feasibility study and financial analysis – evaluating service options for fire and emergency medical services in Belvedere.
Once the study is complete and the working group has reviewed the results, public meetings will be held in late 2025 or early 2026 to present the findings and gather community feedback. In the meantime, keep reading Belvedere Breeze to stay informed as updates become available.
