The annual City Council and Management Retreat provides an opportunity for councilmembers, senior management and Belvedere residents to gather in an informal setting and discuss priorities for the city during the coming year. This year’s retreat on February 13 included:
- a discussion of the city’s short-term capital improvement priorities
- a presentation about long-range capital planning
- an update on the General Plan Housing Element and our implementation priorities
- a report on the Belvedere Police Department and a discussion of service levels, existing constraints, potential alternative service models, and our community’s expectations
Given the complex nature of these topics, working groups comprised of councilmembers and staff will study the issues in detail, seek community input, and report back with recommendations for future action. The City Council is grateful to the residents who attended the meeting and shared their thoughts.
