At their September 9 meeting, the City Council adopted an Emergency Operation Plan. This plan, along with the recently adopted Belvedere Hazardous Mitigation Plan, form the framework for preparing the community for potential emergency situations. The Council also directed City staff to put together a working group to continue to update and further develop the Emergency Operating Plan and to improve communication and outreach to city residents.
In order for you to be best prepared for the unexpected, please sign up for AlertMarin, assemble a Go-Kit, and be ready to shelter in place, if instructed to do so.
In an emergency situation, first responders may not be able to respond to your calls right away. Our Belvedere Block Captains program is designed to help bridge this gap – collecting information, disseminating instructions, and expediting communications with first responders.
